How it works

£1.50 a draw, twelve draws a year, and half of everything taken goes straight back out as prizes.

The ticket

£1.50 buys you one entry in one monthly draw. A year is £18.00 for twelve. Every ticket is named after a football club, and yours is yours for the season.

The money

Half of everything taken goes back out as prizes that month. The other half stays with the club and pays for training, equipment and the club's future growth. Prizes rise as more tickets sell, because half of a bigger pot is a bigger prize. Prizes are always whole pounds.

The draw

Draws are the last Friday of the month at 7:30pm. Sales close one hour before, so you can still join on the day. Watch it live and the winners come out one at a time: the five free clubs first, then third place, then second, then the top prize last.

Winning

Winners are announced by club name, never by name. If you win we contact you and the club pays you directly. Any questions about a prize go to treasurer@milfordathletic.com, or message the club on WhatsApp on 07457402660.

Runners-up

Five clubs come out of the hat before the cash prizes, and each one wins its member a free club in the following draw. It arrives in your account on its own and runs alongside the ticket you already have, so that month you have two clubs in the draw instead of one. It is good for that one draw, then the name goes back into the pool.

It is genuinely free. Nobody pays for it, so it adds nothing to the pot and takes nothing out of the club's half: a draw is simply the tickets people bought plus the free clubs in the hat, and the prizes are set by the tickets that were paid for.

Free clubs are always American, from Major League Soccer, so you can tell one at a glance from the ticket you bought. Nobody can buy an MLS club, and the pool rotates, so the same one never comes up two months running.

The rules

You must be 16 or over. Every ticket has exactly the same chance regardless of which club it carries.

A club can only win once in a draw. Once it comes out of the hat it is taken out for the rest of that night, so the same club never takes two of the three prizes. If you hold more than one ticket you have more than one chance, and your clubs can take more than one prize between them.

Tickets renew each 1 October until you cancel. There are no refunds once paid: you stay in every draw until your ticket expires.

Abuse of our volunteers will not be tolerated. Everyone running this draw gives their time to the club for nothing. Anyone abusive to them, in person, by phone, by email or online, will have their entry cancelled and will not be allowed to play again.
